Operating since 1903, Andersen is the longest-running and largest manufacturer of windows we carry at A Pro Windows and Doors. They have a strong reputation and are praised for their premium products, extensive customization, and proprietary Fibrex material. Andersen is headquartered in Bayport, Minnesota, where it manufactures most of its products. Recently, Andersen opened a manufacturing and distribution center in Goodyear, Arizona. A very welcome development by installers like us here in Phoenix, Arizona.
What to know about Andersen Windows:
- Andersen is best known for their Fibrex material – a mixture of reclaimed wood fiber and thermoplastic polymer that is twice as strong as transition vinyl (and just as easy to clean!). The Fibrex material is the foundation of Anderson’s 100 Series, but it can also be found throughout their products.
- One of the advantages of Andersen is the numerous options and customization it offers. Andersen offers five window series and a wider range of window materials than any other brand we carry, including vinyl, fiberglass, aluminum, wood, and composite. This makes Andersen an excellent option for most homeowners.

Are Andersen and Renewal by Andersen the same?
They are two sides of the same business. Andersen Windows & Doors offers a wide range of window and door products and doesn’t work directly with homeowners. Instead, they work with local installers, like us, who then collaborate with homeowners to install Andersen products. In contrast, Renewal by Andersen is “full-service”. It works directly with homeowners, meaning they manufacture, sell, and install Andersen products. Renewal by Anderson also only installs replacement windows made of their Fibrex material. When you choose A Pro Window and Doors, we aren’t limited to specific Andersen products, allowing us to find and install the exact product you need.
